music production services
hey, jacob here. I handle all the audio work.
I can do each of these on their own, all together or in any other combination you like.
scroll down for some examples of my work and the different styles of music I've worked on
mixing
mixing your song, EP, album.
in simple terms, you give me raw tracks and I make it sound cool.

in my experience, a really good mix is the #1 thing that makes music stand out to a listener. I've seen really good music go unnoticed because of a bad mix and I've seen bad music get a lot of traction because of it's high quality mix.

my focus when mixing is to serve the song by all means. I try to be very conscious of the vibe & energy of a song. clean & crisp isn't always the best sound. if something needs to be a little dirty or fucked up to sound the way it should, I'll do my best to maintain that in the mix.
production
artists that I work with will often ask for my own creative opinion while I'm mixing. if that's something that you're interested in, I'm happy to take on more of a producer role.
this can mean anything from making creative suggestions, to adding parts that I feel would enhance the song, playing around with arrangement, instrumentation, and much more.
mastering
mastering is a bit of a confusing black magic, but at it's basic level, it's the process of evening out your music sonically & dynamically. if you're making an album, mastering also deals with keeping a consistent sound across all the songs.
I'm certainly not a full-on mastering engineer by any means, but if you're looking for a simple, utilitarian master, or looking to have your project completed in a cost-effective manner, I can easily provide a simple final master and ensure your music is ready for release.
rock
rock is an incredibly broad term but it's the core of what I know.
I'm very familiar with subgenres like alternative, emo, pop-punk, garage rock etc.
hardcore / loud
again, broad terminology, but I am well versed in heavy music.
folk / roots / country
Loud music is fun, but I've also spent a lot of time working on folk & country music.
indie pop / electronic / industrial
the projects I've worked on in this realm definitely lean more towards the rock side of things, but I have an affinity for electronic-based music.
hip hop
while not my main thing, I do produce beats. all of these are mine, any vocals are added & mixed by the artist.
